And now the Summer Storms and Winter Rains Contest is officially over! The votes have been tallied, the authors revealed and now I'm happy to announce the winners!

Second Place: a tie between Let Me by odd_stick and Beneath The Clouds by sakimus_prime

Third Place: also a tie! three ways between Weather Related Marital Problems by yami_samuraiflo, The Need To Fly by __wilderness__ and Poetry In Motion by mirage_shinkiro.

Authors, you may now cross post these stories to your own journals/communities and any of the other fandom communities you'd like. ^_^

Also, I need the first and second place winners (sorry third place guys! I can't afford prizes for everyone this month) ALL WINNERS to PM me with the prize you'd like to have. And for physical prizes, I'll also need your mailing address so that I can get it sent to you.

EDIT: an anonymous donor has stepped forward and offered to pay for prizes for the third place winners, so everyone will get their promised prize after all. just PM me with your choice and we'll get you taken care of. ^_^

Thanks! It's up in my journal now, with the correct italics and formatting. My version didn't translate well to Eerian's comm, so when I re-uploaded it, I put in all the good emphases and what not. :) If you care to re-read it, that's where it shall live!

Thanks again. I enjoyed your story as well! The last scene was especially visual; I could so easily picture the two of them huddled under that tree! :)

no, no guilt! our donor wanted everyone to get the prize they deserved but i was too broke to pay for this round. you totally deserve your prize!

yeah, i forgot to turn that off when i set up the poll. i was fighting off the last of some virus and was in a hurry to run out the door to a concert. i have every intention of dis-allowing viewing of the results next voting round. thanks for bringing it up, though; i'm a flake sometimes and (as you see) sometimes forget things.

What a fun contest with great entries!!

My only unhappy moment was that after I voted I got to see exactly WHO EVERYONE VOTED FOR. That's...not cool to me. Voting should be, and stay, anonymous just like the fics. Can we fix that for next time?

you can use them to buy add ons for your LJ account (icon slots, paid time, etc.). you just chose them as your form of payment in the LJ shop, rather than a credit/debit card.
